Program Goals
The overarching goal of the Adobe Creative Campus program and the Faculty Development Institute (FDI) is to support academic leaders and instructors in the mission to transform teaching and learning and to promote student success. The practical purpose of the Adobe Creative Campus program is to foster engaged student experiences that develop digital literacies and connect the curriculum with career and community. FDI walks instructors through transdisciplinary lesson plans and assignment prompts that leverage the power of Creative Cloud to promote student digital fluency and today's most in-demand workplace skills, including: creative problem solving, multimodal communication, digital agility, and collaboration.
Events
FDI includes ongoing events, the highlight of which is the annual, week-long Summer Institute. In the June 2020 Institute, there were seven workshops, each of which focused on a particular modality for academic student work. The Summer 2020 Institute offered virtual support "rooms" and break-out sessions for mentoring, collaboration, and technical troubleshooting.
Outcomes
The FDI program is designed for participants to take away a digital teaching portfolio to make an immediate impact on their campuses.  Participants can receive official certification as a Creative Campus Faculty Fellow, and the ultimate purpose of the FDI program is for these Faculty Fellows, in turn, to inspire and mentor their local colleagues -- to re-create local faculty development opportunities on their home campuses.
